Osh Kosh B'Gosh Warms Up Littles For Winter
September 29, 2014
Childrens' winter wear can be pricey, but believe me, you do not want to scrimp on quality. Hell hath no fury like a two year old with cold hands or wet toes. It is as beneficial to you as it is to them to be properly insulated from rain, snow, and chilly temps.
My favorite place to hit for quality outerwear that won't bankrupt me is Osh Kosh B'Gosh. And, bonus for me- I can outfit them from head to toe all at once. While I typically embrace shopping from the warm comfort of home with an iPad on my lap, this is one of those trips I do make in person, with children in tow. (The horror!) I do this for several reasons: To get an accurate fit check (and to make sure there is room to grow), and to let my kids weigh in on style and color choices. If one of my stubborn kids isn't feeling something I've bought for them, it will be a struggle every. Single. Time. So I strongly advocate the path of least resistance. (And sanity.) My little girl flipped for the chic peplum coats at Osh Kosh, and loved that the fleece lining in several jackets was a heart print or colorful stripes. (I love that that there was fleece lining, period.) She also fell hard for the cozy, fur-trimmed hoods. Most of the jackets, including the 4-in-1 parkas, ring in under $50, and that's not accounting for Osh Kosh's abundant sales, coupons and promotions. For durable, kid-proof gear, the prices are great.
Hats, rain boots, mittens and snow pants are all well-made and generously sized to last through any winter growth spurts. My toddler loved the roomy puffer vests, which are a great transitional piece for both autumn and spring. I loved that they are super warm and only $18. Little, little ones can stay ultra toasty in an all-in-one snowsuit featuring the all important bear ears on the hood. I mean, come on. Beyond cute.
Keep an eye on Chippmunk.com for deals and sales at Osh Kosh B'Gosh and get those kids geared up in cozy, stylish outerwear at easy to swing prices. I scored a 20% off coupon and earned a cash reward during my trip. It took us about an hour and two kids sitting on the floor, sharing my iPhone, to get the job done, but man, am I happy not only with what I got but that we are now prepared. You never know when that first snowfall will happen, and you better be ready to get out there and play.
