Organic Treats for Your Dog at Pet Flow
July 17, 2014
Recently my dogs have had some tummy issues. I know part of it is because we are getting ready to move and they just don't understand. We been making a point to have more "playtime" but still their tummies are on edge. We've switched to some organic food and treats for the time being and it seems to be doing the trick! Here are a few of the treats and dog foods we've been using. I hope you'll try one for your pet! We know that they are a little more cash but when they make your four legged friend feel like a million bucks, it's totally worth it.
The Honest Kitchen Pet Food, $47
This pet food is awesome. Not only is it organic, it is also easy to use when you travel. All you do is place it in the bowl and add a little water. It gets soft and looks just like a real meal! My pups love it. They licked the bowl and looked at me like "where's the rest" when they were done. It comes in a variety of flavors including Chicken, Turkey and Fish.
Newman's Own Peanut Butter Dog Treats, $5
These are a fave with our pups
. We used them when we potty trained them and still use them as a reward. They work for larger and smaller dogs and of course are organic.
Newman's Own Organic Canned Pet Food, $30 a case
When my dogs see a can, they assume it is for their pet food. All I have to do is take one out of the cupboard and they go crazy. I keep a couple cans of these
around to mix with dry food. The trick for me is I take a scoop out of the can, mix it with some warm water and make a chunky gravy out of it. This way the can of food lasts about 2-3 days (store it in the fridge) and the dogs don't get too much of the wet food which can cause them tummy issues. Throw in the fact that this is organic and you have a winner here!
Grandma Lucy's Organic Baked Blueberry Dog Treats, $8
These treats are so cute. They look like little bears. They are soft like a cookie
but small enough that you can use them as a training treat or as a just because treat. I did not know that dogs could eat blueberries but boy do they love them!
Fruitable Pumpkin and Banana Treats, $6
My dogs love these. Who knew..Pumpkin? They gobble them up
! They have just a little bit of banana in them too. These are similar to a cookie, but are really lower in calories that regular treats. This is great because I have one pup that is just a little plump!
